Firearms
This section walks through my step by step approach for firearms, from gathering reference images and defining shape language, to building forms in 3D, and finishing with refined renders.
I explored Kinetic and Energy Weapons, before fully rendering a Power Weapon.

I begin my creative process by gathering reference material that grounds my work in the Destiny aesthetic. I focus on shape language and silhouettes while integrating design requirements and brand guidelines. I study panel breaks, chamfer profiles, fastener logic, and emissives to ensure the design feels authentic and consistent with the universe.

In this phase, I build on the strongest sketch elements to refine silhouettes and gameplay readability, sharpening details and composition to clarify intent and guide the team toward a unified vision.

Once the design direction is solid, I explore color schemes that enhance player readability while reinforcing mood, atmosphere, and storytelling. Color and texture work together to bring the concept fully to life.

Next, I create a rough 3D model in Blender as a reality check for proportions, edge discipline, and sightlines—ensuring the illustration translates effectively into three-dimensional space. This stage allows me to explore scale, lighting, and fidelity while preparing the concept for production.

The final stage adds material logic, wear, and density refinements, sharpening the design’s race car qualities.
